Thankful this hotel is open during the Covid pandemic. Overall, could use improvement in housekeeping. Trash cans in exterior corridors were overflowing. The remote would light up and turn off so I gave up trying. He instead said to change channel one digit at a time VS up and down. I asked about battery because it wasn't changing channels, clerk said Guide option doesn't work. I called the desk but was given an excuse about Cable service. Second visit I got upgraded room with microwave and fridge, although fridge still had food from previous guest left in it. Bed was comfortable, bathroom floor was dirty with dead bugs and hair. First time at a Red Roof and overall visit wasnt too bad. Room was connecting, which I don't like while traveling alone. First room I stayed in was around back and a tad sketchy with guys BBQ grill on 2nd floor balcony. Very easy to find and close to dining options. Ive stayed twice this month and location is convenient for my travels. I wish I'd paid more and gotten a nicer place.… The motel was one of the cheapest around, but it was no bargain as you got what you paid for. The chest of drawers is adequate for a week stay for one, shorter for two. There is no closet, just a rod with six hangers. The towels were large and very soft, another highlight of the motel. The bathroom was tiny, but that's because the sink and counter are in the main room. The motel office is in a separate building in front of the two motel room buildings, so there it would be hard for the onsite staff to see what is going on, especially at night. You can't very well have a party when people have to walk through a lobby to get to your room, but when it's a motel, people can drive right up to the front door of the room and no one may see them. I didn't see any unsavory types, but it was a shock compared to the hotel style Red Roof Inn Plus hotels I had stayed in previously. Yes, it is that kind of motel where someone rents a room and then other people come and visit. Cars with their sounds systems blasted passed by in the middle of the night. I could hear the people next to me and above me. I guess he wasn't in the least surprised. I told the checkout clerk and he said he'd tell the manager, but that was it. I found one large (more than an inch long) bug and another walked across me while I was in bed. Unsurprisingly, the room was not very clean. Pets are free, and there were quite a few as I saw people walking their dogs, especially in the evening when they were back and it was cool enough to walk a dog. I couldn't sleep through the dog next door barking. It's a bit noisy, but I could sleep through it. The HVAC worked well, which was important as the daily high was 99F. ![]() The beds were comfortable and probably the best thing about the room. There was a leather easy chair and a decent desk chair and desk, which was in the middle of the room, not along the wall, so you could watch the TV while at the desk. The flatscreen TV was good size and a fair selection of channels. It did have the standard furniture including a refrigerator and microwave, but I had to pay extra for that, but not too much. It looked like they slapped in the standard Red Roof Inn Plus furniture in the space of the old motel, without fixing it. The construction was quite shoddy with many broken corners, holes in the desk, exposed seams, etc. This is obviously a conversion from a cheap motel. I had stayed at other Red Roof Inn Plus hotels which were hotels with a lobby leading to inside hallways and rooms off the hallway, so they felt safe, quiet, and more upscale. ![]() ![]() Yes, thank goodness! We can honestly say we may have wanted to know the answer to this almost as badly as Mel. This is also the moment that Mel finds out that Calvin (David Cubitt) is the real father of Charmaine's babies. Acting as her midwife, Mel offered to help when Charmaine called her about the Braxton Hicks contractions she was experiencing. The two have come a long way, to say the least-and this is really a testament to Mel's loving personality. It all happened at Doc's office, with none other than Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) herself helping with the delivery. (Not much time passes in the world of Virgin River between each season.) Either way, the twins (both boys) have finally made their long-awaited arrival, and were born on Christmas Eve. Yes (finally)! It genuinely feels like Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley) spent the majority of Virgin River pregnant, but it makes sense given the show's structure. It's important to note that Lizzie and Denny couldn't have gotten to this point without the love and support from their community! That's truly the magic of Virgin River. While Lizzie's mother was not too happy at first, she eventually came around-and even joked about wanting to be called something "cooler" than grandma. Everything that was once worrisome (Denny's college plans, Lizzie's mother's reaction, and how they would deal with being such young parents) has pretty much been dealt with or is at least seeming more doable. What was once a shocking and stressful revelation for the couple has since become a sweet, optimistic turn of events. She sure is! Lizzie (Sarah Dugdale) and Denny (Kai Bradbury) will be welcoming a baby girl, much to the joy of Hope and Doc (Tim Matheson). ![]() However, if you don't mind having the ending revealed, and can still can find joy in watching our favorite characters living their best lives in the too-good-to-be-true mountains afterward, then by all means: Read away! This is where we'd tell anyone who didn't get a chance to watch the finale yet to skedaddle. ![]() So, let's get right into it while the kettle is still steaming, and unpack everything-and we mean everything-that happened in those two, much-needed Virgin River holiday episodes. And since we're hot on the heels of Virgin River season 5 part 2, we thought we'd fill you in on everything that happened in the finale! You all tuned in, right? Of course you did! (Who could resist watching more Mel and Jack content?) If we were Hope ( Annette O'Toole) from Virgin River, we'd begin this story by saying, “I’m sorry. ![]() ![]() ![]() If you have social anxiety, you might automatically assume that she is angry with you, dislikes you, hates working with you, hates going to class with you, or something similar. Perhaps you've walked down a hallway and passed by someone going the other way who doesn't seem to notice you but, instead, passes by without so much as a hello. It can strike anywhere, at any time, and it typically happens so frequently that we don't even realize it or question it. In the case of social anxiety, we automatically conclude that people are judging us negatively. Anxiety pretends it has the power to read other people's thoughts. Mind-reading is an automatic negative thought that is very common in social anxiety. Two of those thoughts in social anxiety are mind-reading and projecting. There are multiple automatic negative thoughts. To accomplish its mission, it uses automatic negative thoughts to sabotage our confidence and heighten our anxiety in various social situations. Social anxiety wants people to feel worthless, to feel judged, to feel unable to ever be good enough. They're racing thoughts that increase anxiety. They play repeatedly and relentlessly in our heads, and we end up believing that they're true. CBT helps people notice and change automatic negative thoughts, those self-defeating thoughts that pop into our minds automatically, without us consciously putting them there. Mind-Reading and Projecting: Automatic Negative ThoughtsĬognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a therapeutic approach to helping people transcend mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders-social anxiety among them. Social anxiety can be a monster, and mind-reading and projecting are among its minions. Someone with social anxiety takes in what's going on around him while simultaneously listening to harsh internal dialogue berating him and telling him he's worthless and that everyone else thinks so, too. Social anxiety can be exhausting because of the chatter of racing thoughts going on inside the head. Mind-reading and projecting, two negative thoughts that manipulate your mind, contribute to social anxiety, feeding it and super-sizing it. ![]() ![]() If memory consumption of ABP and uBO were the same, there would be no graph. We're also going to cover some answers to frequently-asked questions about Google web fonts and I'll share some recommendations for fonts to use. In this guide, I'm going to cover some of the best ways to search, select, and use the 800 (and counting) different web fonts that Google makes available. Google Workspace just goes to and grabs the fonts it needs to display the document. When you open a Google Doc on any computer, it doesn't matter what fonts you've already installed. It looks totally different! You don't have this problem with Google Workspace apps, since they all pull their fonts from the same place. If the HR director doesn't have the same custom fonts installed on their computer, you'll get something like this: As an example, let's say you create a carefully-designed resume like this:īut then you send that same Word document to an organization where you've applied for a position. If the new computer doesn't have those same fonts, your project won't look the same. This isn't the case for Microsoft Word, and it's one of the most common frustrations with traditional desktop design software: if you move your project to another computer or email it to a collaborator, the recipient needs to have the same fonts installed on their computer. The biggest advantage of managing fonts this way is that you can always be sure that your documents will look exactly the same, no matter who's viewing the document. Click Continue to start using it.Unlike desktop applications like Microsoft Word, Google Workspace apps like Docs, Sheets, and Slides draw typefaces from a central repository of web fonts. The handling of color slowly improved with each release from Adobe and Photoshop quickly became the industry standard in digital color editing. The Barneyscan version included advanced color editing features that were stripped from the first Adobe shipped version. Both showings were successful, and Adobe decided to purchase the license to distribute in September 1988. ĭuring this time, John traveled to Silicon Valley and gave a demonstration of the program to engineers at Apple Computer and Russell Brown, art director at Adobe. Thomas renamed the program ImagePro, but the name was already taken. Thomas took a six-month break from his studies in 1988 to collaborate with his brother on the program.
